Fortnite New Iron Man Skin Coming – Mark 45

Fortnite is in the midst of a new Marvel season, bringing in new characters from a ton of Marvel properties. However, we’ve also revisited some of the most iconic characters already in Fortnite. Starting with Doctor Doom, and next, we’re getting a new Iron Man skin in Fortnite.

We’ve been expecting some Iron Man content to be returning for quite a while. Initially, that was with the return of the Iron Man Mythic weapon. First teased in the season’s initial trailer, we’re expecting an upcoming update to bring it back. A lot of fans speculated this would also mean the release of some form of Iron Man skin too.

Just like Doctor Doom in Fortnite, Iron Man’s initial appearance was part of a Battle Pass. While skins from the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass onwards aren’t exclusive, those before weren’t. This means that the original take on Iron Man can never come back. With the release of a new Iron Man skin, in the Item Shop this time, Iron Man will enter the regular rotation of Fortnite characters!

What can we expect with the new Iron Man skin and when will they release?

A fresh Iron Man skin has been announced, or it’s been teased! It’s shown up in the teaser image released to accompany the announcement of a new mode. Another LTM is coming to Fortnite, this time focused on the Marvel Mythics we’ve seen this season and in the past.

The teaser image showed off Doom, who will represent one team of the new LTM. However, the other team is made up of Marvel heroes. It includes some we’ve had in the Battle Pass, but also a new take on Iron Man.

After that, Epic went all out and announced the skin fully! The new Iron Man skin looks like a fun reimagining of the character.

This new Iron Man skin is a slightly different design for the character. It’s based on his appearance in one of the Marvel films, rather than the comic-book version of the character. The new skin is seemingly going by the name Iron Man Mark 45. As with a lot of these secondary versions of characters, it’s quite similar to the one locked up in the Chapter 2 Battle Pass.

This new skin is scheduled to come to the Fortnite Item Shop very soon! We’re expecting it around September 17th. The Fortnite update scheduled for that day will also contain new Iron Man content, so it makes sense to drop the skin at a similar time.
