AI cluster in Abu Dhabi is the latest leap in global artificial intelligence collaboration.
The initiative, named Stargate UAE, brings together G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank Group, and Cisco to create a cutting-edge infrastructure hub for AI innovation.
This 1-gigawatt AI cluster will operate within the UAE–US AI Campus, a new 5-gigawatt facility based in Abu Dhabi. Stargate UAE aims to power advanced AI capabilities across industries including healthcare, finance, transportation, and energy.
The AI cluster in Abu Dhabi will be built by G42 and operated by OpenAI and Oracle. It will leverage NVIDIA’s Grace Blackwell GB300 systems for computing, while Cisco ensures secure AI-optimized connectivity. SoftBank Group will contribute to the strategic expansion of this sovereign AI platform.
Bold vision through international partnerships
This project sets a new precedent in cross-border tech collaboration. According to G42 CEO Peng Xiao, Stargate UAE reflects the trust and ambition shared by all partners to responsibly scale AI for global benefit.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman emphasized the importance of decentralizing AI development. “We’re turning bold vision into reality,” Altman said. “The AI cluster in Abu Dhabi is our first major milestone under OpenAI for Countries.”
Oracle’s Larry Ellison noted that this platform offers nation-scale infrastructure that integrates with the most powerful AI models available today. UAE institutions will be able to train, deploy, and manage AI using sovereign data and high-performance tools.
